In December 1982, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Junior High School was established under the decision of the Hanoi People's Committee with the mission:n- Raising blind children of Hanoi City so that they can integrate into the community, live independently and contribute to society.n- From 1982 to 1988: is a specialized school teaching blind children;n- From 1988 up to now, the school has implemented a model to integrate children with visual impairment and non-disabled children with the following tasks:n+ Implement teaching and educational programs for elementary and secondary school students;n+ Teaching rehabilitation, orientation and life skills for visually impaired students;n+ Join the early intervention program for children with visual impairment;n+ Help develop the skills and interests of visually impaired students such as music, art, ... Organize craft, drawing, pottery, music classes, especially ethnic orchestras;n+ Organize vocational training classes for students with technical skills: masage, informatics, English, cooking, growing vegetables, making bean sprouts, ...n+ Counseling and support activities for parents, assisting their provinces in inclusive education.
