During the border closings from COVID-19, they are closed to guests. I visited back in March, 2019. The house is a traditional stilt house, which are always cool. The dinner was cheap and delicious and the family was friendly. They didn't speak English but they were nice.

The Homestay Bắc Sơn is a very peaceful and friendly accommodation. The family is very welcoming into the abode and made sure to keep us comfortable. The matriarch tends to the home and always offers a seat, tea, and a smile at any time.nnThe family style dinner is held on the floor in the centre of the main room where all the guests and homestay family sit in a circle. Conversation is limited but the friendly connection is very present. The food is delicious! The power went out for the short period during dinner but the hosts were prepared with a lamp and this made the cozy dinner experience even more special! The power returned before dinner was even finished.nnSitting out on the patio is the mornings is a truly special experience as you hear the chickens, small birds, and other animals wake up and fill the air with songs.nnThe garden is very peaceful and at this time of the season, I got to admire the process of drying out rice on the concrete backyard area.nnInternet is fast and washrooms are tidy if these are important factors to you.nnTruly a special destination!

As of June 2020 they are closed to guests. Unfortunately we learned this upon arrival. Fortunately Duong Cong Chich homestay was open!

Really good dinner. Bathroom under the house is cold to get to in the middle of the night. They had the TV blaring in the evening which was off-putting. Clean and hospitable, good value.

This is a great resort, good food, Host friendly, The house has a traditional architecture but full of facilities, more wonderful than hot water for bathing, Great views from the house to the garden, Very handsome hostess enthusiastically led us to admire beautiful scenery from the na lay. Come to experience and enjoy.
