History of Dong Phat ParishnnThe process of formation and developmentnnIn 1972, about 2,000 parishioners from all over the region settled in Quang Bien. This group of parishioners built a simple small chapel made of paintings, bamboo and rattan as a place of prayer. During this time, Father Joseph Vu Si Hiep was dedicated to helping the parishioners.nnAfter 1975, Monsignor Dominic Nguyen Van Lang appointed Father Philippe Phan Chau Trinh of the Congregation of the Congregation to care for the laity. Fr. Philippie and his parishioners built a temporary wooden chapel and corrugated iron roof to worship.nnOn August 22, 1976, Bishop Damor officially established the parish and named it Dong Phat Parish.nnIn 1990, Father Joseph Phan Ngoc of the Congregation of the Congregation, replacing Father Philippe in charge of the Parish. After 5 years in charge, Father Joseph has completed the construction of a solid and spacious church.
