Chi-Bu Riverside

Chi-Bu Dorm is a misleading & deceiving offer!nnWe’re a group of 8 booking a Dorm at Chi-Bu early June 2020. Not until we arrived at the location, we were told that the cottage area, the swimming pool & the riverside lounge are all private areas and we were not allowed to set food in those places (even when we’d be willing to pay certain extras to dine in). Dorm people can only access the backyard, the yoga hall, and this below-par dining area in the enclosed picture.nnOkay, it could be understood that you get what you pay. Still, isn’t it too obviously a bad misleading offer at the first place?! They should have made it clear when people book, shouldn’t they? Compared to all the beautiful photos on their page / Booking.com, this is mere disappointment. What you’ve got from a dorm is a MUCH poorer version of every photo. And here is the long list of things they DON’T provide for Dorm (even though listed on Booking page!) – no slipper, no hair dryer, no electric kettle, no tea/coffee maker, no mosquito net, no drying rack for clothing, no safety deposit box.nnAlthough we were not allowed to access the ‘private’ lounge & restaurant, still we paid the same price for the food while being seated under an ill-lit roof. Food was then overpriced for the experience, and it didn’t taste good either. We were glad we brought some food to do our own BBQ. The BBQ equipment was rented to us at 100.000VND/pax; it was a small and half-broken BBQ gas stove; and when we asked the manager/ owner to have it cleaned (as it was extremely dirty they didn’t clean it after use), he was showing his attitude telling us not to complain (?!)nnSo our advice is to manage your expectation if you book a dorm here. And if you can afford an expensive resort, there are also many better options out there. Chi-Bu is a long way to get into our recommendation list.

If you are a minimalism follower, this place is a must-go destination. The transquil atmosphere, scenic landscape and lovely staff are all you need for your self-detox vacation.nnI love being left alone, doing nothing and enjoying every peaceful moment here with my beloveds!nnDefinitely put Chi-Bu on top of my travel list for periodic get-away from the crowded city life!

This Chi Bu resort is unexpected nice resort at the river branch nearby Saigon. The communication with the staff is difficult to get prices and directions.nThe dorm rooms are spacious and clean, the pillows are unfortunately much too bulky, not comfortable. The food is delicious, but the service can’t speak much English and don’t understand most questions.nThe new regulation is now that dorm guests can’t go to the restaurant anymore, no matter which person. That’s a ridiculous and sad decision from the manager and therefore I will not visit this resort anymore.

Brilliant view, stunning river, friendly staffs who always available whenever you need them. The management is just great, giving you privacy but very supportive.nThe Vietnamese dishes are just amazing, very delicious, in natural decoration.nSimply lovely and highly recommended for a day or 2 escaping from HCMc.nThe road to access was just muddy but totally fine, its worth to take in order to stay far away from noisy traffic outside.

Not a fan of mosquitoes, should not come here! There are as much as mosquitoes you can imaginenGood and clean food, but not many choicesnVery small pool fill with insect corpses. Water play is ok, not for swimnNice view, quiet, peacenNice river in frontnToilet and bathroom: not quite cleannFor selfie: totally great
