We booked a private tour of the Mekong for a family of 5. They charged 1/2 price for our 2 little ones who got as much service as the rest of us and ate as much! We got to see and do more than I've seen offered on other tours and we werent shuffled through all the usual tourist traps. In fact, we hardly saw other tourists. Every part of the day was amazing. Our guide Johnathon was awesome. Good english, honest, thoughtful, funny, friendly, caring. Can't say enough about him! The lunch provided was exceptional. We engaged in the floating market, made rice vermicelli noodles, made spring rolls, wove hyacinth baskets, rode bikes along the country side, tried local foods along the way. And we got to keep the traditional Vietnamese hats we wore all day to take home with us! The day completely exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!
