Although the location is placed there on Google Maps, you will be able to walk up and down the rails. On both sides you will find plenty of bars and cute spots to have a drink while taking some instagramer pictures.nAs far as I know, train schedule is only on weekends and very very early in the morning during the working days.nBring your camera and imagination!n@Santiago

Where else in the world can you find a tiny cafe, serving imported beer (Asahi) and pretty decent Banh Mi next to a freaking train track!. Spent a couple of hours here in the height of Vietnamese summer, highlight of a trip to Hanoi.

Just wanna confirm, this street is open and I wasn't hassled getting onto the street at all. It's very empty during this covid life so people keenly offered me a seat in their cafe but I experienced no rudeness for wanting to continue down the street a little.

It was easy to find this place with google maps. You will find few cafes along the track serving beverages at reasonable price, we spend around 30min there as we did not wait for the train to pass by, just wanted to experience the atmosphere. The part I did not like is how the cafe owners and railway officer ud83dudc6e‍♀ufe0f controls the place and will not allow u inside unless u sit at their cafes. Besides that it’s worth going there just to feel the place.

The train street is located in Hanoi’s old Quarters. The train passes at 3pm and 7pm daily, on the rail line between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in the south. The single-track railway that runs through Hanoi’s Old Quarter was built during French colonial rule in the early 20th century, although the houses that now stand impossibly close to the tracks were built afterwards. Aside from the residential houses right next to the rail track, there’s a variety of pubs, restaurants and souvenir shops.
