Luxurious, comfortable and excellent service. Private villas right on the beach. Pool fantastic as well as private pool in villa. This is one of the best accommodations that Quy Nhon has to offer.

For anyone deciding between here and their cheaper long-running sister resort Avani next door, I've stayed at Avani twice and on my most recent visit I toured the villas and ate at Anantara as well. The primary draw to Anantara is definitely the extra privacy buffer zone afforded by the villas. They are spacious and have private swimming pools. The benefits end there however. Breakfast is very disappointing for a resort with this price tag, and somehow landscaping is largely neglected. I was also surprised by the degree of wear and tear already showing in the villas despite only being a little under 2 years old. Mia Nha Trang, for example, has villas that are twice as nice but half the price (or less). The construction here wasn't built to withstand the strong sun in this region or high volume of usage it seems. Overall unless you really need the extra privacy, Avani is clearly a better value. However even Avani is not a home run, so I'd personally choose a different area entirely especially as this beach Bai Xep has fallen victim to over-development in recent years.
