Pleasant to wander around though you cannot climb the tower itself.

It's located within military museum and definitely worth to visit.nnYou can't access the roof top but still it's beautiful view especially on planes, helicopter (famous UH-1 Huey) and tanks in the museum.nnFlag on top is pretty big and if some wind is blowing it's nicely waving.

Hanoi flagpole, also known as the Hanoi Monument, is a tower-like structure built in the same period as Hanoi citadel under the Nguyen Dynasty (starting in 1805 and completed in 1812). The flagpole architecture consists of three floors and a column body, considered one of the symbols of the city.
