TEACHERS OF HOLY SPIRITUALITYnn1. GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATIONnLieu De Temple Parish is located in Lieu De Town, Nghia Hung District, Nam Dinh Province. Lieu De was formerly known as Ke De, a land inhabited by the 15th century.nn2. HISTORY OF FORMATIONnThe faithful received the Gospel from the time of the Jesuits, but the results were not significant. When the Dominican priests arrived in Cat Vang (Cat Dien, Cat Dien parish), about 3 km away from Lieu De land to preach, from which the Gospel seed emerged in Lieu De land and continuously developed. .nnIn 1691, the main father, John de Santa Cruz Cross, appointed Father Antônio Benedict to take care of the parish, at the same time Ke De village was renamed Lieu De. Before 1820, Fr. Thomas Dinh Viet Du, the priest, took care of him and became a parish since the late seventeenth century.nnLiu De is the home and place of service of many martyrs. Among them was Father Thomas Dinh Viet Du, who was with the parish until his martyrdom (Hien Thanh, June 19, 1988). Next came Father Vinh and Cha Hinh who were martyred during the Minh Menh period. When King Tu Duc banned the religion, Father Duong, Father Phu and Kham Khiem suffered martyrdom on May 25, 1856, and Father Phu's brother Joseph Thi martyred on June 6, 1862. In addition, there are many martyrs in the parish, criminal records are being completed by the diocese and the Congregation.nnIn 1906, the glass church of Our Lady of the Rosary was built, 50m long, 20m wide, 11m high, made of iron carvings with carved patterns. During the war, the church was bombed, causing heavy damage, the yellow building was damaged but was repaired shortly thereafter.nnIn 1934, Fr. Fronon Roãn built another wooden church, 30m long, 10m wide and 4m high, to commemorate the thanks of Father Thomas Thomas Dinh Viet Du; 1967 was knocked out by bombs.nnIn 2000, the church was renovated to prepare for the great jubilee to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the building of the church and 275 years to receive the Gospel.nnOn April 2, 2003, the late Bishop Joseph Hoang Van Tiem dedicated the church, from which the parish has celebrated the annual dedication anniversary.nnSince its inception, Lieu De parish has been growing and developing constantly in the life of faith. Parish of Lieu De holy temple is located in Lieu De town, Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province. Lieu De formerly known as Ke De, a land where people settled since the 15th century.nThe Church received the Good News from the days of the Jesuits, but the results were not significant.
