Amazing experience!!! This was a truly magical 3 days. As soon as we got on the boat they upgraded us to a huge room on the superior wooden boat - the Hera, which only has about 12 cabins. We opted for the 3 day 2 night cruise, apparently many folks only do the overnight. As a result we were treated very special as the crew knew they would have more time with us. Kenny- the head of hospitality checked in with us, surprised us with a bottle of champagne, and catered the menu to our needs. Why the 2 night is better than 1 night: you get a full day excursion on the second day. You get to see more of Halong Bay and you are able to travel to the last remaining fishing village in Hanoi. We also had a personal guide that toured us through the village, a kayaking cave expedition and she told us the history of everything. Her name was Jolie, she was fantastic, very sweet very knowledgeable, we really enjoyed spending time with her. If you get the 1 night you don’t have the time to travel deeper into the bay, as a result you miss the village and your excursions are only about 1-2 hours: touristy beach stop, 20 minute hike to a peak, and a quick boat tour of one cave with an additional charge for kayaking. Several of the other crew on the boat were also really sweet and fun to be around. And the food! Every meal was delicious. Lunch and dinner every day were 5 courses of gourmet Vietnamese specialties. Even the breakfast buffet was lovely. Book the two night and get the room with a balcony- it will be the best part of your Vietnam visit and a welcome break from the chaos of the city.

Awesome cruise. Take the one night option. We took 2 kids under 3 and the staff treated us superbly. We went to places off the beaten Ha Long path.

Great experience and friendly folks... Take the one night option as that works ideally in terms of the range of activities that are available... The excursions are a bit rushed and don't allow you to really enjoy the full scope of the place however, but are still no less breathtaking

Service was exceptional! Staffs were extremely attentive and helpful. They greeted you by name and made you feel like home! Anna was super helpful in explaining to us a lot of the Vietnamese culture, as well as helping us with all our needs. The great service made our stay at the cruise marvellous!nnI would definitely recommend the 3 days 2 nights itinerary, as it really allows you to experience the full beauty of Halong Bay. Moreover, most of the great visits are on day 2 afternoon, which is only available in the 3 days 2 nights itinerary.nnFood was surprisingly very good, as we didn't expect much originally (given that they cook everything on the cruise), it is definitely comparable, if not even better, than most restaurants in Vietnam. Although the portion might be a bit small, you can definitely tell the staffs and they are very willing to provide you with more food. (The chef was especially concerned if we were still hungry and told us that no one should have a hungry stomach on Aphrodite haha).nnThe room was not very spacious but definitely enough space for 2 large luggages. There were some insects flying in the room occasionally.nnOverall, a super enjoyable experience and a great value for money. Definitely would recommend Aphrodite Cruise to anyone who's looking for an accommodative and enjoyable tour/stay in Halong Bay!

Excellent luxury cruise in Halong Bay. Unbeatable in everything, the food, the excursions, the facilities, the staff, etc. It is expensive for what other cruises are worth but in the end, adding excursions and meals, it is worth it. We stayed in a room with a balcony and it is highly recommended. The drink is not included and maybe a little expensive by the standards of the country, but there are Happy hours with some frequency. Transportation from Hanoi was not so good, uncomfortable on the way and making us wait too long on the way back.
