CON SON BLUE SEA HOTEL

Nice hotel, situated right by the beach. Breakfast wasn’t the greatest as no bacon or toast.nRoom clean tidy and sea view balcony worth it.

We loved con dao overall. The island itself is beautiful and the hotel wasn't too bad when we first looked at it.nLet's start with the positives.nThe room itself didn't smell too bad. It looked more recently built. They provide airport pick up and drop off.nThen following things happened:n1. All drains in the bathroom smelled terrible. I understand it's a beach town, you get what you pay for so I poured some shampoo and mouth wash down, kept the vent on 24/7 hoping it'll help block it out. It didn't help.n2. The drains would not drain. First day, we wanted to shower, and immediately noticed the drain was not draining. We can back later to find it drained so it must be just really slow draining.n3. The front desk does not speak English, which can be managed as we can use google translator. But we struggled as quite often it was still hard to communicate simple things like renting a bike, price of it, swimming pool location and time.n4. The rooms are very noisy because of guests and doors from morning to night. We woke up every morning due to other rooms being loud. Doors automatically start sounding when you leave door open for too long. We did not need alarm thanks to that.n5. Breakfast was vietnamese but okay. Taste was okay. Some food saltier than other some more bland than others. Our only problem was that there was flies everywhere, staff smoking, and we had stomache issues later on. Needless to say our first day was our last day we had this breakfast.n6. The pot in the room is very dirty. We did not use it in the end.n7. Last but not least, the check out. If you are checking out check out an hour or two before you need to go. They told us they have not recieved money from booking.com, even though we paid full. We showed them the reciept from booking.com, however she just kept repeating we have to pay, refused to take picture of the reciept, or to talk with booking.com. They insisted we will be refunded from booking.com althought booking.com clearly states on their reciept no refund. They also stated this happens all the time and they always say the same thing.

I spent four nights here and I'm wishing stayed longer. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the view was great. Breakfast was great and he changes daily. My favorite part of the hotel is the staff eats the same food they prepare for the guests. Extra incentive to make a great breakfast. I salute the owner and manager of this great hotel. Thank you.
