I worked for the Cambridge Program. The children and parents were great. The school and administration should stick to running malls and convenience stores, they literally have no concept of proper education. Their contracts are filled with clauses that go against Vietnamese Labor Law. You would think one of the largest corporations in Vietnam could write a proper contract. They will use these clauses to pray upon naive teachers and threaten legal and monetary actions. If you stand your ground they will back down because they know their contract was illegal.nnThe students only receive a half day of Cambridge English Instruction. As a teacher you teach 2 full classes of 25. One class half the day and the the the second half. Out of a 40 period week you will get 2 planning periods. Expect to take work home. you will teach 4 subjects. Staff meetings will be required and are usually in Vietnamese. You will receive a very poor and inaccurate translation. Once a week there will be an unplanned meeting that will go until 6 pm or later.nnTurnover is high, and they are desperate and take almost anyone. You will meet some interesting characters if you make it a couple months and see the constant rotation of teachers leaving.

Nice neighborhood but terrible school system to work for. Unorganized, poor planning, poor curriculum design. Worked 36 out of 40 periods a week No cover teachers for sick teachers so some weeks were 40 out of 40 periods. Worst administration experience of my career. All meetings, announcements, and emails were in Vietnamese, even for the English Program. The one good thing was their annual pay, but trust me, not worth the hassle.
