The food was really good, service quick, english speaking staff. We had the cobia with lemongrass (heavenly good). The steamed rice was awful, so I would recommend to skip on that. The food is overpriced, but the fish was really really good. We were told later that most of the seafood is not fresh, but rather frozen.

Realized after visiting that there are dozens of seafood places within 200m but this one gets all the foreigner traffic because of the English reviews. Pluses: Staff is friendly, more western-friendly accommodations (air coolers, enclosed place) and seafood is fresh - crab was this highlight. Minuses: limited selection of seafood vs other places (few small tanks and they don’t have any clams, oysters, or scallops). Next time will just walk down the street and choose another place based on size / selection of catch.

We’ve lived in Vietnam for a few years and love exploring local seafood. This place is top notch! The hosts made us some amazing dishes: fresh grouper, shrimp, grilled squid, local clams.nnOur hotel suggested we try Thu Ba. We have pretty adventurous taste, so are often reluctant to take recommendations from the hotel but I’m so glad we took this one. Great hosts, delicious food!!

Followed Lonely Planet advice and tried this place. We weren't disappointed on the tastiness of the dishes although it was quite expensive, but that's pretty normal with good seafood. Garlic and ginger fish dish and the shrimp dish recommended by our waitress was delicious. The service was fast and polite.

A bit high price but it worths for fresh & tasty food
