After 1975, most parishioners from the northern provinces migrated to the new economic zone of Quang Lam. In order to have a place of prayer and religious activities, parishioners built a temporary wooden chapel with thatched roof and established the 10th Congregation of Phuong Lam Parish. On January 31, 2001, Bishop Paul Maria Nguyen Minh Nhat raised the 10th family to a parish and named it Quang Lam Parish, at the same time the Bishop appointed Father Micae Nguyen Huu Thu as the first parish priest. A year later, the parish's old chapel was remodeled. In 1996, Father Micae together with the community built churches, parish houses and monuments around the church. Currently, Father Daminh Nguyen Minh Phuong is in charge of the parish. Currently, Father Dominic Nguyen Minh Phuong is in charge of the Parish.
