On March 19, 1982, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Army, the Special Museum was exhibited with an area of ​​800 m2 and operated effectively.nAt the end of 1995, with the attention of the State, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the General Department of Politics of the People's Army of Vietnam created conditions for the Army to attend the meeting. project to build the Special Museum. After more than 4 years of construction and display of furniture, under the direct guidance of the Head of the General Department of Politics, the Department of Conservation of Museums / the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Military Museum, and help in all aspects of organizations and individuals inside and outside the Army, the Museum of Special Operations was officially put into use and inaugurated on March 16, 2000 with an area of ​​1,400 m2 and over 6,000 exhibits. In 01/2001, the Special Museum was ranked by the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Ministry of Defense in the National Museum system.
