VN Cars

We had a fantastic day tour to Hoi An with Mr Been of VN Car Services. Booking was really easy via the website and VN Cars were extremely responsive by email when making arrangements. We arrived on a cruise boat, into Chang Mai Port, and Mr Been collected us on time just outside the port gate. As observed in other ports in Vietnam, taxis and tour companies pay a tax (as much as $25) to pick up customers within the port area. By accepting collection just outside, this saving was passed onto us. We were provided with some comprehensive instructions on where to find our driver. It was listed as a few hundred meters from the boat, it was more like half a mile, this wasn't a problem, it just took us a moment to locate him amongst the other tour companies and drivers. Mr Been was very knowledgeable and a safe driver. We simply told him what we were interested in, and he pulled together a great itinerary for the day. We told him when we had to be back to the ship, and we had a great day out and felt like we fitting a lot in. He offered suggestion, but ultimately let us decide exactly how long we wanted in various locations and able to take the tour at our own pace. We felt we really made the most of our time ashore, but equally Mr Been got us back to the ship in plenty of time for piece of mind. He gave us a fantastic taster for the area and when we come back, we will definitely be in touch to arrange another tour for us.
