Vietnam Military History Museum

Big place a lot of wrecked aircraft etc outside. Place very hot though, has the tank that smashed through the palace gates during to takeover of Saigon end of the war. Note opening times. Coffee shop in the grounds. Worth a look!

An excellent museum, an intriguing insight into the Vietnam War. Some good military hardware to view and an really good selection of wartime photographs (quite graphic) that bring the past to life.

The courtyard outside this museum displays an eclectic mix of weaponry and military machines including downed French and US planes, tanks, and a Soviet MiG fighter plane. Inside the actual building is a huge amount of information on the wars with both France and the USA, along with exhibits of weaponry, which will be of interest to those with a penchant for Vietnam's 20th-century history.

An interesting war museum! It was quite educational for us.
