Homestay is a popular form of hospitality and lodging whereby visitors sleep at the residence of a local of the city to which they are traveling. The length of stay can vary from one night to over a year and can be provided for free, in exchange for monetary compensation, in exchange for a stay at the guest's property either simultaneously or at another time (home exchange), or in exchange for housekeeping or work on the host's property. Homestays are examples of collaborative consumption and sharing. In cases where money is not exchanged in return for lodging, they are examples of a barter economy or gift economy.nnFarm stays are a type of a homestay, in which the visitor stays on a working farm.nnThe terms of the homestay are generally worked out by the host and guest in advance and can include items such as the type of lodging, length of stay, housekeeping or work required to be performed, curfews, use of utilities and household facilities, food to be provided, and rules related to smoking, drinking, and drugs.

Great fun!nIn this restaurant we were able to help ourselves with Vietnamese cooking outside. In a group of 8 people it works very well.nIt was really fun, even for people whose hobby is not cooking, and it was really delicious. Pictures speak more than 1000 words, see my photos.nWe didn't stay here, but we were allowed to take a look at 1 room: very simple and clean, everything kept in deep dark wood. I only mean a fan and mosquito nets, no air conditioning. At the end of the world in the middle of many vegetable growing areas and plantations, beautiful bike paths and drainage or irrigation channels, so pure relaxation. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. English was a problem for them, but they wanted to make themselves understood.n5 stars for the idyllic place and the delicious food paired with customer-oriented staff.
