It's a holy place where our Lady Mary presented and gave her blessing to local people in 1798. Local people, who were Roman Catholic, lived under hard condition with persecution and regular fear of being arrested and executed, they had to escape and went to live in this place called La Vang today. They gathered and prayed every night to show their ardent beliefs to the God so The Virgin Mary appeared and eased their pains.nI had dreamed of going to the place for a long time and the dream came true this time I went and saw our Mother Mary, I felt emotional, peaceful.nThe huge cathedral is being under construction. It will be marvelous when completing.nMay God bless people.

Our Lady of La Vang (Vietnamese: Đức Mẹ La Vang) refers to a reported Marian apparition at a time when Catholics were persecuted and killed in Vietnam. The Shrine of our Lady of La Vang (Basilica of Our Lady of La Vang) is situated in what is today Hai Phu commune in Hải Lăng District of Quảng Trị Province in Central Vietnam.

One citadel with the small religious architecture. No more. It would take you 5 minutes to finish sightseeing.
