Khe Sanh Combat Base(Vietnam War )

I came here as part of a tour along the DMZ from Hue. There is a museum at the base and they have preserved some of the bunkers including one of the command bunkers. There are military vehicles and planes on display. As with all museums about the war in Vietnam be open minded to what you read. Much of it is distorted history and misleading photograph captions relating to the ‘imperialist American invaders and the south puppet government ‘ . It’s a good visit though and I enjoyed the history and being on this famous site.

Another remnant of Vietnam war. It’s relatively small, located on open fields with some buildings and bunkers still standing. You can see a couple of tanks, chopper, cargo plane as well as indoors exposition. It’s bit hidden from the main road, so you can easily miss the junction.

A haunting (watch out for incoming artillery ha ha almost watch out!) scenic place. Surreal and brooding experience. Nothing much remains except a sad reflection on futility of humanity.

Loved visiting this. We visited here at 9am when it was soooo foggy and you could only see the bunkers airplanes etc up close but it gave the experience added emotion. Highly recommend if your into your Vietnam War History
