In 1878, the Thuong Loc parish was established. They were religious at that time in Ke Gai parish (founded in 1853). According to historical records, in 1878, a 12-family church (85 parishioners) built a three-roofed chapel in Cua Nghe area. That chapel was destroyed in a fire in 1903. Ten years later, Thuong Loc parishioners built a 10-compartment chapel made of ironwood, plastered roof, roofed with male tiles and their teacher received Our Lady of Immaculate Conception infected with the crime of being a mandarin 1914 was considered the inauguration of this chapel. The chapel was used for 80 years (1914-1994).nnIn 1892, Bo Son parish was separated from the mother parish of Ke Gai and Thuong Loc became a new parish family.
