Around 1875 a church roofed with leaves and walls on a common property set up by Ben Tre's parish priest, looking after.nnAround 1898 there was a parish priest like Father Jos Vi, Pet Tuyen, Pet Khanh who resided at the Congregation.nnAround 1910, due to the request of the village committee to donate to serve as a communal base, the church was left more than 200 meters away.nnThe newly built new church was built by Father Ackermann, Ben Tre's father. This church collapsed around 1962 - 1964 because of the war.nnDuring the war, the Religion evacuated to Tien Thuy commune. Here, Father Nguyen Van Butu established a church, a blessing house, a priest's house and a school in 1965. The whole campus is now in the state (1984).nnAfter 1975, the parish returned to the old 1912 location. This new church was inaugurated 7-5 - 1978 by Reverend James Van Nguyen.nnThe current director is about 1032 people.
