Vi Xuyen Lake belongs to Vi Xuyen Ward, Nam Dinh City, Nam Dinh Province. This is a beautiful park including lakes, trees and many other monuments, is a symbol of the South. Vi Xuyen Lake is the remains of the ancient Vi Hoang River that flows through the heart of the city.nIn 1913, after the opening of the new Dao river to replace transport and circulation functions, the French took land in Hau Dong to fill the Vi river section in Hang Nau, Hang Mam and Hang Song streets. In 1916 and 1917, the section of Ben Ngu river was filled (from Hong Gai warehouse to Dan Sinh factory). In 1920, the river section on the side of the current Nguyen Khuyen school was filled. Gradually the Vi River disappeared.nVi River is no more, a part of Khoai Dong village has dug into a lake since the 1930s. The project was abandoned during the whole war against France (1946 - 1954). By 1956, we continued to dig and today build into Vi Xuyen park. There is a tomb of poet Tran Te Xuong.
