Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc

Worth the visit. Beautiful and it was my first stop. You can get the combo ticket here.nTip: I think you can park along the walls of the gate near the entrance for free. There are signs across of shops advertising free parking but it's not free. I had to buy a soft drink more than double it's price.

The whole mausoleum is big, and you got a vibe of royal lifestyle. Walking in the complex gives you the feeling of walking pass history. Nevertheless the restoration work is pretty bad. The mismatch between new and old is suck, uneven color really annoy people who love history

Of all three tombs I’ve visited in Hue, this one is my favorite. You can get back to the nature and spend time realxing while enjoying the around.

The Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc forms part of the Unesco World Heritage Site and is situated at Van Nien Hill. The Emperor spent a significant of his time at this site itself. Although he had as many as 104 wives and countless concubine, Emperor Tu Duc could not father any child and was succeeded by his adopted son Kien Phuc. Although the Mausoleum was dedicated to Emperor Tu Duc, his remains was buried elsewhere, the exact location still remain unknown to date as all the labourers who attended to his burial was beheaded immediately after they returned from the actual burial site.

Great place where the king lived and be buried. Amazing and beautiful architectures.
