Thua Thein Hue History Museum

This museum is tired. The displays are pretty basic. Admission is cheap but not worth going out of your way for. War remnants in HCM much better and the nearby Museum of Royal Antiquities a much better way to spend an hour (and its free).

Thua Thien Hue Historical Museum was established in July, 1989 devoted exclusively to the exhibition and collection of above 30,000 items related to the historical foundation and development of Thua Thien Hue over different periods of time. Originally, the Museum was the imperial Academy – the first national university of Nguyen Dynasty. This impressive building has still remained intact until present.

Fascinating to see old American tanks, jets and helicopters. Must see if you are interested in the war.

Very interesting. Explains Vietnamese history in detail. Also a section on the Vietnam War. Fascinating to see the military relics.
