(November 2018) Considering the number of bus stations I have been to in S.E.A. this one is the most chaotic and within the phased absolute chaos is the most organised. It is compact and in phases throughout the day and into the night it is bedlam with some sudden quiet times between. All the estimated transit times into Laos in my experience are highly unlikely and you can probably add 4 hours to any estimate. It get worse if you get to Vietnamese immigration at 12h00.
