D-Green Hostel

So this hostel is not as it seems. They only have picture of one of the private rooms. The one I got had mold and no windows or ventilation. The mold makes it hard to breathe. I asked if they can change it but the other one was already booked. I understood that. Next thing, I rented a bike from them, which was my first time riding. I asked them for an automatic and the guy recommended the older one with gears. I went with that one. Not knowing that it was not for beginners. So what happened was, I got into an accident. I have a bruised rib, dislocated thumb, and scrapped up pretty badly. The police said he should have not given me that bike. Moving forward I’m just glad I’m alive. So next situation. I go grab something to eat and the guy told me that the gate might be closed (not locked) when I came back to just remove the latch. I came back and the gate is locked. Who knows how long I would’ve been locked out but I just really wanted to sleep and didn’t want to pay for another place. So I jumped the wall, yes with my injuries. Next day I wanted to switch the to the easier bike because I was going to drive to Hoi An. They wanted to charge me for the bent foot peg to be replace. After some back and forth, the head of the hostel said they can’t share the repair price with me. Basically not taking responsibility for bad advice on bike rental and not meeting in the middle for being locked out a room that I paid for and had a key for. Also they couldn’t refund the gas that I put in the bike though it was still full. They should not be in the bike rental business. They need better staff that don’t lock tenants out, and are more attentive. The staff also disappears when you need them. They need to update their facility with ventilation. Yea I don’t recommend the place to anyone. Things happen but how you handle them determines whether you have good business ethics. They don’t.

Nice hostel, It is peaceful for resting. The staff like our neighborhood, we had a party together. it is so fun.

As I went out for the night, they showed so much interest in my activities, recommending places around the hostel.nGood location, especially if you have a scooter and can get to the further parts of Da Nang. It's definitely in a quieter area, but still plenty of restaurants etc. around.nRoom design is neat with lots of wood, little places to hang out. The locked patio for scooters is a plus, and the dog is SOOOOO cute and playful.”

Great hostel special for a group of young friends. Good location, convenience for cycling to the tourist sites like Asia Park, My Khe beach, Dragon bridge,... They offer BBQ equipment for rental at the reasonal price, the market is 5 minutes away by walking
