Nga Homestay

Fair price for a two bed bedroom. Private bath. Small balcony. Very quiet in an alley in one of the mid-sized roads (Trần Cao Vân). We found the whole place very clean and check in and out were simple. Bathroom matches western standards I would say.

How could anybody give this place anything less than 5 stars?! It’s awesome!nnI stayed here for 12 days. I had a great time at Nga's place! She's very kind and thoughtful. Very cheerful, always smiling.nnThis place is the best of both worlds. You get the authenticity of staying in a bonafide, dead-end Vietnamese alley (not the touristy area of Da Nang), combined with the quality you'd expect from a nice hotel. You can check out the small alley from your balcony, too!nnI think it has a great location. You're only a 10-12 minute walk from the train station.nnYou also have access to a hot water kettle, single-element stove, and a microwave.nnEven though I was only one person, Nga pampered me with 4 towels, 6 pillows, 4 glasses, and 2 extra blankets. She also provided extra toilet paper, tissues, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, shampoo, and soap. Other conveniences: electrical outlets and light switches were next to the bed, shower was hot, small fridge in your room, and a small coat rack.nnProbably the best compliment I can give this place is this: it's the cleanest place in SE Asia! I've traveled SE Asia for almost two years. I'm pretty sure I've never seen a house without ants, until this one! Not only is this place spotless, I think Nga pays for pest control, which is almost unheard of in SE Asia.nnThe WiFi was strong (averaged 16 mb/s download, 11 up, 25ms latency).nnAnother guest mentioned the nearby construction in their review. First, there's construction all over SE Asia, and they always start work early to avoid the sun. Also, that house they're constructing nearby is about a month away from being finished. If you want a quieter room, choose Nga's other room (the view is of the neighbor's apartment, but it's in the back of the house, so it's quieter).nnNga doesn't know much English, but that definitely shouldn't stop you from this experience! There are 1-2 people who live there that can help translate. Or you can use a translation app on your phone.nnI'm very glad I stayed at Nga's place. And I'm sure you will be, too!
