This is our third vacation with Custom Vietnam Travel. They are the best and each time we enjoy it more than the last. I start out e-mailing them when I am thinking of coming and which part of the country I would like to see. Then I ask for their input as far as weather that time of year in that part of the country, tourist season info etc. Once we agree on the time and part of the country, the fun begins! They have an awesome interactive website providing tons of info on where to go and what to see and do. Also if you provide them details on what kinds of specific activities you enjoy they can make plenty of suggestions. Many e-mails later you will have the perfect itinerary. Then you go from there. You have the opportunity to select the type of accommodations you would like and they will provide with the best available in the particular class you select. They will also do their best to steer you away from heavily trafficked tourist areas and towards newer less frequented tourist destinations, unless of course you prefer the other. My husband and I had the best time up in the northern part of the country up by the Chinese border; hiking, biking, strolling, boating, experiencing the homestays, eating the most wonderful food and drinking the coffee of the world's second largest coffee exporter in the world, and learning so much about the country. The best part was being out on the land every day, in nature, with our guide. Our driver was excellent also. These people do their utmost best to provide you with the custom vacation that you are looking for, so do not hesitate to let them know what it is you are interested in seeing and doing, etc. and you cannot miss with Custom Vietnam Travel. We travel a lot, and these people are easily the best travel company I have dealt with. Happy Travels!

We started planning in November 17 and visited from mid January 18 through to February, finishing just after Tet (Spring Festival). We organised a lot of the trip ourselves but, because of dates coinciding with Tet, we were having difficulties booking some of it.nnFrom our first general enquiry right through to the trip itself, Julie Bui couldn't have been more helpful.nnWe specifically contacted her company to try to help us organise a trip to Sapa, and then another trip to Bai Tu Long Bay. She proposed very good choices in terms of accommodation and cruise company, and adapted all of the trips to suit our specific needs and interests.nnShe helped us with booking train journeys also and suggesting hotels in Hanoi. Because of time differences, we would often receive an email convenient for us, but realise that Julie had been replying to us in her time off... In other words a really personalised service. We must have had 60+ emails between us!nnTheiver for our trips was really reliable and made us feel quite safe on tricky roads in the hills.
