I'm sure most people would agree with me when I say my experience at the Korean consulate in Hanoi was appalling. The treatment of the visa applicants was disrespectful and the way they handled business was amateur and incompetent. There was a lot of swearing and shoving, pushing from the security guards. There was no adequate waiting facility and no clear communication. On my second visit to pick up my passport, even though the receipt clearly stated that opening hours are between 2-4pm, myself, together with dozens of applicants were told that it wouldn't start until 5 and that we had to form a line and wait outside of the building! There were people over 50 years of age having to queue on the pavement under the scorching sun. Its a lengthy, inefficient, unprofessional process that could have easily been done online. I strongly recommend the Korean embassy revise this process and put an end to this embarrassment.

so damm crowded because of people trying to get 5 year visa. takes 10 minutes just to use the elevator.
