Tam Coc Nature Lodge

Peaceful and quiet place in the midst of too many tourist in the area . Lovely people , good service . Recommended !!!!

Our stay here was just so-so. The surrounding natural environment is amazing! But the hotel didn't have much of an atmosphere & staff was cold. We didn't feel drawn to try the restaurant as it was deserted, no music or welcoming staff, and breakfast was super early from 7-9am. Not ideal for a vacation. Rental bikes (for a fee) were not well maintained and staff simply directed us to pick from the lot of bikes, many of which were not in usable condition. Our room was pretty comfortable - until the neighbor started smoking and without proper insulation the smoke came right into our room. You could also hear everything through the walls so it didn't feel very private. It's about 10min walking distance from the little town area, and at night the last stretch is pretty dark and under construction, so need to bring a torch & wouldn't feel comfortable walking there alone at night. In general just feels like the place needs some love and care to make it a nice inviting place to stay - too bad because the nature scene is very nice. As it is now, wouldn't recommend it - many other cute, more friendly places to stay nearby.

First off, we had a weekend stay in the hostel dorms, they were FANTASTIC. I haven’t had that clean (and A/C’d) hostel in a long time. Secondly, the people are awesome and the food they serve on the grounds are great. The scooters we rented for the weekend were in great shape and we had no issues. MOST IMPORTANTLY, there was confusion on which airport we were going to when leaving, a bus was booked in the wrong direction and our flight was leaving within a couple hours. Long story short, our bus driver got on the phone with the nature lodge and they organized a pick up and switch for us and then covered the expense immediately with a taxi driver. My stay in Tam Coc was awesome!

Very lovely place with small resort next to rocky mountains. Just short distance to peaceful nature

Worth a visit on a day trip. Book a tour from Hanoi and enjoy a day of cycling a d kayaking through the river set between the mountains, the guide takes you thru three caves and that is what Tam Coc translates into (tam is three, and Coc is caves). The tour includes stopping at a local souvenir shop at the beginning and a local Vietnamese lunch at the end.
