Ninh Bình Bamboo Farmstay

Had good hopes with this place considering the other reviews but was dissapointied with customer service here. We were placed in a room that looked nothing like the one we booked and when I asked the move to the room we had booked the answer was no. Gardens are beautiful and environment is nice but didn't feel welcome or taken care of compared to the other places we stayed on the trip.

We did not have a good experience here. The owner was far from friendly and he gave us a room that looked nothing like the pictures on Booking and refused to help. He said it was a problem with booking but it looked that he just overbooked the place and gave us a tiny room overlooking the carpark. We didnt feel welcomed and instead of staying a few days we stayed one night.

My daughters and I stay at the Bamboo Farmstay. It was fantastic. The bed was super comfortable and the amenities clean and sufficient. They have a restaurant too which served very nice food at good prices - all with a lovely view. In addition, they offer a laundry service which we were very thankful to use. There are bikes offered to guests for free - which we used to visit the local sights. All in all - a fabulous experience. Thank you to the friendly and efficient staff at Ninh Binh Bamboo Farmstay.

Loved it here -- they were very helpful and upgraded our room from a double to 2-double bungalow for free upon arrival as a nice surprise.nnThe food is mostly Vietnamese and made fresh. I ordered the salad and he picked the lettuce for it from his garden 20 metres away! Very fresh. They have really good fruit pancakes for 40k.nnWe're vegan and I'm gluten free and they were happy to accommodate to our diets (there were other guests that ordered food off menu too and they were happy to do accommodate them as well.) There's drinks, fresh fruit, and snacks for purchase.nnThe beds are firm (typical for Vietnam,) and the pillows and blankets are very cushy. Really clean and great showers -- hot and great water pressure.nnThey have scooters (130k) and bikes (50k) for rent with good helmets.nnReally great customer service -- on check out day they drive us to the bus stop for free and he waited 25 minutes with us and made sure the bus driver knew where we were getting off.nnThis place is good families too. Close to attractions and beautiful scenery.nnWould definitely stay here again! Super affordable and great experience.

It's a very nice place to relax, with lots of places to sit about and very friendly staff.nAll rooms are private, so it's not so good for solo travellers as it doesn't have a social atmosphere.nThe food was good, with well sized portions (all items have 3 sizes small/medium/large we found medium to be more than enough) however there are not many vegetarian options. Most food items we got cost between 35k-50k vnd.nIt is quite far on foot from most places so they have a store with some snacks and drinks, we thought it was reasonably priced.nWe rented scooters here (130k vnd), it was a lot of fun and the staff where very helpful getting us setup.
