Tam Coc Garden - Authentic & natural resort

Excellent boutique style of resort by the nature. Everything from staffs, to service level, meals, and facility and rooms are all outstanding. I love the effort they put into maintaining the garden, and the brilliant deals during Covid to keep the place busily running with customers. A wonderful stay, could not ask for more. Highly recommend. The normal price can be at a high end, but every penny spent here is all worth it. Book at least 2 nights!!!

Imagine my delight upon arrival, when I noticed a commercial grade espresso machine. Yay I thought, my days will begin well. But let me return to the subject of food and beverage later.nnVisited this place during Covid. It was very quiet and I was one of only a couple of people at the resort. The resort is rural and away from local towns (which can be easily accessed with bicycles). Very pretty location surrounded by rice fields and worth seeking out. Excellent value too given the room rate included breakfast AND dinner (or lunch at your option).nnThe accommodation is excellent too. Rooms are large bungalows with plenty of room to relax indoors or out and all come with separate bathrooms (note no TV). Bungalow 14 has a great view. Very comfortable indeed.nnThe resort is also being expanding to include a range of other accommodation styles and sizes including a large villa with private pool.nnThe resort pool is excellent.nnStaff are very friendly and all speak some English. Always happy to help. Genuinely happy and cheerful.nnNow to the reason I gave the resort 4 stars. The food and beverage really lets this place down. Given it was so quiet there was really no reason for the food to be poorly prepared. One evening 2 out of 3 dishes had to be sent back to the kitchen. The duck was just plain raw (not pink). The kitchen then proceed to recooked the raw duck, rather than redoing the dish. This was a big no no in my opinion. The dish was sent back a second time when this was noticed.nnBreakfast is good. Tried the eggs Benedict for breakfast one morning, out of curiosity, and the hollandaise sauce had split. But other dishes including the local food were excellent and beautifully prepared. In summary the quality of the food was a little too variable.nnThe coffee was only 5/10, which was disappointing, given they had an espresso machine. I just couldn’t work out why the latte tasted thin with a bitter flavour (maybe they are using 100% robusta beans or something).nnIn summary would I go back ? Yes I would because the location, staff and resort is excellent. Well worth seeking out.

Staff were all excellent. Friendly, good humoured, yet efficient. A credit to the resort. Food was good, as was the choice.nnEnjoyed the location, away from the hustle and bustle yet close to everything.nnLoved the decor, especially the ceramics.nnThe garden and grounds were superb.
