In 1972, Fr. Joseph Nguyen Huong Mạch established the Hoa Binh II Parish in An Binh Parish. Three years later, Father Joseph Nguyen Huong Nam and Father Thomas Nguyen Van Than asked Bishop Dominic Nguyen Van Lang to separate Peace II to establish a new parish.
