Church facilities are limited

In 1968, about 450 Catholics from the North of Phat Diem, Bac Ninh and some from the Central Region settled in the new economic zone of Bau Coi and formed the missionary mission. At the beginning, the spiritual life of the community was difficult, lacking because there was no place to worship God. In 1990, Bishop Paul Nguyen Minh Nhat raised the Bau Cui Diocese to GHBL and sent Father Dominic Cao Dam to the GHBL. Two years later, Father Daminh and the Bau Coi community built a temporary chapel (8m x 16m) of wood, wall panels and corrugated irons to serve as a place of worship and prayer. From here, the faith life of the community is stronger and the love unity is growing. In the period from 1996 to 2003, the GHBL Bau Coi chapel was upgraded to be spacious and spacious. In 2005, Bau Coi community continued to build parishes and houses to meet the pastoral needs of the community. A year later, Bishop Dominic Nguyen Chu Trinh raised the Bau Cau GHBL to the parish and appointed Father Dominic Nguyen Van Phi as the first parish priest. Thanks to the help of God and the guidance of our predecessors and past Father Joseph Pham Huu Dao, the pastoral activities of the Bau Cooc community have been in order, stabilized and strengthened in the moral life. like nowadays.
