History of Tho Hoa ParishnThe process of formation and developmentnnIn 1978, about 50 Catholic families from Long Khanh to Tho Hoa land were established. In the beginning, the parishioners had to go to Long Khanh church and the Holy Family to offer Mass. When the Tho Loc Church founded (1980), Tho Hoa parishioners attended the liturgy of the Word of God and received the Eucharist in Tho Loc's Church.nnIn 1993, Tho Hoa Church was officially established with about 140 Catholic families and belonged to Tho Loc Parish. In the same year, the community of Tho Hoa Church built a temporary chapel made of bamboo, corrugated iron and weekly Mass.nnIn 1997, after being elevated to GHBL Tho Hoa, the community began to renovate the chapel more spaciously. In 2009, GHBL Tho Hoa built a new chapel to have a place for worshiping God, offering Mass and prayers.nnOn October 13, 2011, Bishop Dominic Nguyen Chu Trinh raised GHBL Tho Hoa to the parish. A year later, Father Joseph Nguyen Duy Tan was appointed to be in charge of the community of Tho Hoa. Thanks to Father Joseph's guidance, the pastoral activities of the community went into the order, stability and faith of Tho Hoa parishioners more and more powerful today.nnGeography: East and South borders Tho Loc territory; West borders Tan Phu; The North borders Xuan Bac.nnArea: 6,02 km2nnPopulation: 2,185 people - 180 Catholic families, including 704 Catholics - Ratio: 32.2%
