Phu Dong Hotel

Great value for the price. I paid about $19usd. The walls and floor of the room was gross, but everything else was clean. And the shower was hot with lots of pressure. The free breakfast buffet was good too. All Vietnamese foods.

Awful place! First of all there are a lot of bugs in bathroom, I killed 12... Second in reception there are no person that can speak eng. We arrived there very late and we decided to stay there because its near train station and price includes breakfast. In the reception we asked couple times about breakfast but Staff didnt ubderstand us. In the morning they told us that breakfast ends at 9 am (it was 9.30). I used translator and asked for breakfast or part of money we paid, hotel's Staff agreed to prepare us some fried eggs. When they gave us those eggs they told us we have go pay for it... I told I dont want it if I have to pay and they told us they cant take it back because girl who told us they will give us eggs and the same that gave us those eggs would have to pay for it. I know it's not a lot of money, but the whole situation was very unpleasant.

Huge rat in the room on the 8th floor!! After we arrived, we took a shower and lay down on the extremely hard bed. Then suddenly a huge rat came into the room. We packed our stuff and told the receptionist that we were leaving. He wouldn’t let us leave unless we paid half of the room rate.nnBased on the bed (hard like rock), the rat in the room, the service when we wanted to leave and the very dated bathroom, we wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody. Now we switched to a hotel nearby (Trong Dong Hotel) which has much nicer rooms, great bathroom, and good service.
