Hostel Chill Out

Been there for one night back in August 2018, found the owner extremely flexible (I arrived at latenight and still he was flexible enough to check me in), and the atmosphere was actually super chilled. Met another traveller from US and enjoyed a tasty breakfast with local fresh foods. The owner, which is a very smart and easy going guy gave us tips on what to see and how to move around. I definitely would step back there if I ever came back to Pogradec. Didn't have enough time to check the swimming pool out, but it was definitely inviting me to have a swim over.

The hostel owner was very welcoming and friendly. While she only spoke a little English (and I speak no Albanian), we were able to effectively communicate using Google Translate and her very basic English skills. The breakfast was filling, however it's all just left on the table, don't expect to be served breakfast by the owner. The location is great, feels very central and an easy walk to the water. They have a nice lounge on the second floor with comfortable chairs and couches, looks like it would be a good place to hang out with other guests (however there were only two of us staying there during late May). The bed was comfortable and the lockers were big enough for my 35L backpack (you could get a bigger pack in there for sure). I would recommend this place to friends, I say it's good value for the price.

It is a good place it you want to have a night's rest on your way further on. I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays. The owner charged 10 euros per person and claimed breakfast was included without a blink. In the morning, it turned out that 'breakfast' means that there is a fridge with butter, jam, eggs and something more, and kitchen with some bread in the basket. You're supposed to make it on your own. Not a big deal but it would be advisable to inform the guests about the conditions they are going to live in. Also, there was no hot water and no toilet paper in the bathroom. A big minus. All in all, if the owner charged 5 euros per person and informed what 'breakfast' and 'hot shower' means in his opinion, then the hostel would be worth recommending. Otherwise it is not.

Very nice place.

Pretty cheap little hostel with a pool. It only cost about 10€ per person. And a nice view too.
