Big Kend Market

Shopped here while on holiday in Durres 2 years ago. Great supermaket with everything you will need, fresh meats, cheese, local breads and many other typical Albanian food. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits, none of them expensive. Lots of choice if your buying Raki from small bottles to one litre bottles, all excellent quality.

A relatively large selection of goods and you can pay by card.

A bit messy layout if you are used to supermarkets in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg, for example, but more than fine for Albanian standards. A lot of choice on a fairly small surface (the Big in the name therefore does not refer to the retail surface but to the range), an average Albert Heijn in the Netherlands is many times larger and the range is not much inferior. For example, you will not find liquor at De Appie.

Great selection at good prices. An excellent range of detergents, a good selection of wines at good prices. very helpful and pleasant staff. Delicious cheeses and olives.

Great choice and positive about paying with a card what I hate is that you can only pay more than a certain amount.
