We stayed at the Hotel Rote Wand for 4 nights . We found it to be a perfect setting for our Ski holiday . The location couldn’t have been better with easy access to transport . Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains , it was a large room with plenty of room for storage.
As requested it was quiet with no noise whatsoever.
The Hotel was impeccably clean.
The menus were excellent - we ate so much good food !
We have both travelled extensively and believe that the service and attention to detail was impeccable.
We had a wonderful holiday - Thank you
Best Regards,
Benjamin Konzett
We had an excellent meal here as a family. Schnitzel for the children and devine gnocchi and soup for the adults. On snowy days the 3km walk from Lech through the forest is like a scene from Narnia. Highly recommended.
Rote Wand is an awesome hotel, even for Lech standards.
The staff are great and personable, and always go the extra step to make your trip nice.
The food is by far the best out of any hotel I have been to - it’s the highlight of the already great hotel. Some nights they have Fondue night, where you get special appetizers and desserts, and boil your own meat.
The mezzanine room is comfortable for five (although I’ve only stayed with four).
Some mezzanine rooms are higher end and are a bit of a walk from the common area (Haus A) - these have electric blinds, higher end finishes and other goodies. While the standard mezzanine rooms are already great I’d give the option to select one of the Haus A rooms at booking, or expand the features to the standard mezzanine rooms.
The whole spa area is very clean and functional, and all but the indoor swimming pool are very modern. The outdoor swimming pool is heated to the perfect temp and is best enjoyed at night.
The only thing I don’t understand is how the hotel can be 4 stars - it’s much nicer than pretty much any 5 star hotel I’ve been to, and much more welcoming and comfortable.
The location is great for sledding etc, and there is a free ski bus to Lech (about 5-10 minutes drive).
While this has nothing to do with the hotel itself, I will say that the ski rental in the basement is great - the equipment is clean, new, in good condition and is high end. The guys working there are super nice.
Attached are way too many pictures of the food - unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of the hotel itself.
great place to be in vacations
