It's been six months since I did my first yoga retreat at the AlenRetreat. It was such a wonderful and special retreat and it still has an incredible impact on me. The retreat has changed my view on so many different things and has opened new doors for me. The retreat was called "Yoga & Wandern" (Yoga & Hiking). It is perfect for beginners as well as more advanced Yogis. Teacher & Group: Our teacher was Jan from the AlpenRetreat. He was such a welcoming and warm host. Jan taught us the basics of the tradtional Hatha practices. He had lots of patience and always an open ear for us. Our whole group was just amazing. After day 1 we grew quite close and shared lots of experiences together. On our last day saying goodbye was not as easy. Accommodation: The accommodation was also very warm and welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean. In the practice room was an open and relaxing atmosphere. It is mainly made out of wooden materials which makes it very natural and easy to connect to it. I really much enjoyed the food. It was well-prepared, very tasty and made with sustainable ingredients. It was vegetarian food and they also offered a vegan alternative. Countryside: After the week, I stayed 3 days longer at the AlpenRetreat to use the incredible countryside for some hiking. There are many beautiful lakes and peaks to explore. What I liked was that the area was not as touristy (besides the area around the Zugspitze). In November I wanted to spend another retreat at the AlpenRetreat. Due to the Corona pandemic this was unfortunately not possible. However, I can't wait to come back to this place soon :-)

Ofcourse we had a pleasant stay again during a week. The owners are very friendly, the food healthy. I definitely recommend this place, for a longer stay and also to spent an overnight.

These people at alpenretreat will make feel loved cared for and at home. The house and the staff are amazing. The food is both healthy and delicious. As soon as you enter you feel the relaxed and homely atmosphere. Also it is located in a beautiful part of Tyrol.

Very nice retreat Center. Standard of rooms is basic, but very lovely and nice and clean. Liked it very much, especially because of nice team and delicious vegetarian and vegan food. ask for plums cake ;-))) very nice yoga-hall in the attic below roof. great meditation atmosphere here. perfect place to start hiking tours or alpine walks.
