Always buying at a discount. Some sort of sale or another. Great clothes but would not pay full price.nnThe best outdoor gear I have.

Went there today there were two lady’s and a a guy..The guy was very helpful..I once asked one the ladies for help and she turned and walked away while I was asking for help.Also I was looking for size L thermal,the shelf had none but the computer says have one when the guy wanted to look for it the lady said “don’t even think of trying to look you never know where it will be”.I ended up buying two M thermals and the shelf said 2 for $40 when I came home and checked the bill same lady had charged me the individual price for each item instead of the sale price.nReally bad customer service ,the sales people looked miserable except the friendly guy who was helpful , they really don’t wanna make any sale.Would never go to this store again.

I'd rate Kathmandu around 3 and a half stars. The main reason is price! I do appreciate the high-end make and material quality of their products, however I don't feel that their pricing on the majority of their products is justification for this. Staff can be helpful though so that is a bonus. Always better if you have a Summit card or go during a heavily discounted sale.

Can get some decent stuff here, & they really excel at making & designing apparel to perform & look good (shrugging the outdoor wear stereotype of pertaining only to the former). I wouldn't expect top of the range quality from Kathmandu branded items (eg a Kathmandu headtorch vs a Petzl or Led Lenser headtorch) but better quality than the real cheap stuff out there and some great value. Staff have always been nice when I've gone in - will greet me & offer assistance but happy to leave me to it when I decline.
