Consulate General of Italy

Thanks to Luca for his help. I didn't give 5 stars just because the other colleagues (one especially, but I won't say her name for respect)are not really professional and it is better if they change job. In these days it is plenty of hospitality jobs in sydney if they want to start a new career. They made me lost a lot of time, and Luca, with a little bit of patience and professionalism, was the only one that knew what to do. Thank you very much again

The usual kafkian experience you get when dealing with Italian bureaucrats: nonsense, indifference, absenteeism and online service that does not work and has no technical support that makes it useful. Povera patria.

I have been applying visas in lot of consulates of different countries (France, Russia, Poland and so on) but this is the most pleasant experience I have ever had. Appointment systems works pretty good, I arrived at 10 AM and it was 2 persons in front of me, I was waiting for about an 30 minutes. An Officer (Mr. Sandro Mariani) was very friendly. He did couple jokes that allows you to relax since you are usually stressed in such official atmosphere. I forgot to bring some documents so Sandro said I could drop them off in the other day without appointment. He also gave me his phone number and email in case if I have any questions. The next day I was really busy and It was too late I arrived in the consulate so I sent him email with docs scans. He replied very quick, out of consulate working hours that he’ll print them for me so I don’t need to come. I have never had such customer service in consulates before. Sandro, you are rock! Next time when you’ll thinking to visit Europe, Italy wound be definitely number one in the list!
