I was a previous student at wcc. The values there at the time were good. But there are many downsides to this schoolnFirstly subject choice. This school offers pretty much the basics, compared to others which offer more humanities sport and arts or theatre or practical training.nSecondly the quality and pace of teaching is quite disappointing seeing how many students breakdown because of the extreme fast expectations placed by the school. fast pace and harder DOES NOT mean better outcomes! This is why they aren’t doing better than other schools in ranking. Giving students more and more homework in research is being contested at the moment. I am looking at this school with a teacher point of view because I am a pre service teacher and have seen both private and public schools.nThe most important thing is they spend wayy too much Money on building buildings and facilities when really the teaching and it’s quality of teachers is not up to standard.nWho cares about how many buildings you have? That’s just being materialistic. When families are suffering from COVID-19 impacts, the church who backs the school up cares more about getting funds from people to build classrooms rather than helping those who are doing it tough.nIt is extremely sad to say that Wcc teachers put way too many expectations on its students and as a Christian community the management could do a whole lot better.nnAs previously mentioned by another past student, wcc has its safety bubble. Setting the foundation for young students is indeed necessary. But when students mature and grow eventually graduate from school and enter tertiary education it becomes a huge culture shock and many don’t know how to deal with it.nThe school needs more improvement on how to relate individuals to the wider society through a biblical lens.nI honestly think wcc could do so so much better without fancy modern looking building and focus more on the staff training and equipping of students.nThere needs to be a refocus in management and teachings.

As a student, I love this school with my whole heart and look forward to going every day. I am so thankful that I am encouraged to grow in and be open about my faith! The teachers here are incredible, and there are so many opportunities. WCC is fantastic :)

Good school, good disciplinary teachers and rulesnni dont get why people arent satisfied with the rules or culture or beliefs here. This is a christian school. Take a hint from the name please. If you dont like the christian environment or dislike how the teachers are teaching you then dont go to a christian school. im not talking about the academic quality. also school is a place to learn, less emphasis is put on a school to socialize or whatever. if you are really against learning and following rules then dont come to any school.
