Beautiful spot first night was perfect no one camping on a Thursday very peaceful. No such thing as peace by Friday afternoon as we were surrounded by campers thought the place was full as they set up in groups, caravan park close so close it was awkward . Please be considerate and leave ample space between campsites and if your preferred spot is on the river come early and get your spot we got woken by their car alarm right outside our caravan bed, just what you want on your days off and 12 hour shifts. We left and on our drive out we noticed that most campers practiced bush camping etiquette just unfortunate we were not afforded it. Also the nearest porta loo ran out of water so was not able to flush.

We stayed here recently for the first time, creek was lovely to swim in, the grounds were nice and green & no problem getting pegs in. Toilets were clean. The only problem I had, and this is not on the owners..but sooo many people let their dogs run free here. We had several dogs wander in to our campsite & run up to our dog when walking around. The rule of keeping your dog restrained is there for a reason.

Nice location, nice hosts, However packed in like sardines (Neighbour’s set up less than 10meters either side of us) and no sleep due to parties and drinking. Not a place to go if you want to relax which is a shame.

Well run, kid friendly campground with great access to the Mary River. Dogs allowed, great for water craft as long as there’s no drought. Friendly and professionally run family business. Looking forward to going again.

First time here and really enjoyed our stay. It rained Fri & Sat but Sun and Mon had some relief to allow the sites to dry off a little. Swam in the river on Sunday which was absolutely beautiful if not a bit cold. Loved the wildlife and while some of the groups had music up a bit loud, where we were meant it wasn’t all too bad and hey, I do love a bit of John Williamson music. Everyone was friendly that we came across and we were happy to get puppy cuddles. Though, after drying out enough, the ants and other bugs finally showed their faces - take yourself some repellent.
