George Dohle Place

At the start of a beautiful Queensland morning, just a short drive over the bridge on the north side of Brisbane heading up to the north coast is a must go a place called ’George Dohle Place’ for a beautiful family-oriented, couples and dog-friendly area with the gift of a beautiful sunrise and smell of the ocean.nI was walking along the cemented pathway that provides guide rails with the outlook to the ocean and small fishing boats and talking to the local fishers made for a great way to start the day.nnThe area is well maintained and offers many features that cater to anyone.nDogs are permitted as long as their on leads and a beautiful scenic walk along the inlet.nThere is plenty of seating and even lay back seating to unwind.nThe children’s playground provides a safety enclosure with seating in and outside the grounds. There is safety matting around the playground equipment and a safety lock into the playground.nClose by are bbq facilities that provide gas and very well maintained and clean.nAlong the pathway along the inlet are signed historical facts about the area and the birdlife which made the experience that more impressive given the area been renowned for Shorebirds.nAnother interesting fact is that it is classed as ’Morten Bay Marine Park’ and one of Australia's most important habitats for shorebirds.nnThe fisheries area has designated spots to clean and recycle areas.nThere are also safety rails between the walkway and inlet for that extra comfort of ease, especially for parents.nThe area facilitates are well laid out clean and well maintained.nLooking for an area that's close to the beach and nicely thought out planning that accommodates for all.nThere's a small coffee pop up van from 6 am - 6 pm, and the coffee is terrific.nThe mortern bay council maintains the surrounds.nnDisability parking and wheelchair accessible, given the smooth pathway and guardrails.nAmple parking lots and plenty of shady spots given the layout of the surrounds.nThe only downside is public toilet facilities.nNonetheless, they can be found near the local shop.
