Very poor experience recently. When I asked a SA for help on an item, it was as if I was inconveniencing her? I couldn't believe her attitude. Very poor. You are paid to do a job and that is to provide customer service - not to show attitude.

If I could give 0 stars I would.nnWalked into Macquarie centre NSW so my sister could purchase some clothing to wear for my kitchen tea, as she loves the quirky fun designs from Gorman. what an awesome excuse to go out and spend some hard earned money!nAfter going to the shop, being in the change room and asking the assistant to check specific sizes in stock, the SA said “so sorry we don’t have that, it’s sold out” without even looking, to which I would go check the rails when my sister was in the change room and find the items in her size on the rack. The SA didn’t bother to look or assist.nThe shop was not even busy, in fact the SA was steaming clothes in the change room and that’s it. She was not even trying to upsell items or say that looks nice have you tried it with this or there’s a matching top. No assistance or care whatsoever. There were 2 SAs on.nWe asked the SA to put the items on hold as it was the second shop we went to for an outfit and wanted to look around just to make sure we had found the right outfit! She did and The SA informed us of their promotion if you spend $250 get $50 back and that there was 20% off full priced items. We thanked her and left.nThe other SA was serving us, we asked if we could have the items that were on hold she responded “let me see if we still have them” as if she had put them out when we specifically asked her to hold them for us. We then asked how much it came so we could benefit from the promotion they had going. Whilst my sister was trying on the clothing again to make sure it was the correct purchase as she was going to hand over a large amount of money. I overheard both the SAs talking about how indecisive she was and giggling to themselves. So immature but I chose to ignore it. $730 for all the items my sister wanted from Gorman.nAt this point it was 4.58pm. The SA was rushing to get us out and was completely dismissive to my sister in regards to how much it cost & asking if we wanted them wrapped? Yes, firstly it’s principle and secondly we are spending $730 and you have to ask to wrap it? My sister questioned if I spend another $20 then I get another $50 off? To which the SA was like “no because then I’d have to to 2 separate transactions... and it’s only $20” in the most condescending tone as if it was way too hard for her to do. To which my sister said. $20 is $20 and hang on let me see what else I can buy as I’ll be saving $50 & you can put it through in 2 transactions.nThe SA goes “WE CLOSE AT 5pm and if you want to buy something can you do it quickly because we are closed!”nn...At this point I was beyond shocked. I actually could not believe it. It was 5.02pm, 2 minutes after close and the attitude of this SA was absolutely appalling as she clearly had enough of Gorman and being rude for the day.nMaybe she was hangry? Who knows but no one deserves to be spoken to like that, especially in a customer facing role.nnSo if the sale was spend $250 get $50 off... then if my sister spent an additional $20 on her purchase of $730 in the store it would make it $750... meaning she would save $150, as opposed to only $100 spending $730.nWin win for everyone really.nnI told my sister, don’t worry about it buy it online as I couldn’t believe how rude the lady was and was not Deserving of the sale or the KPI increase or potential bonus/commission.nnBeing in retail for over 10 years I would be absolutely disgusted if I saw one of my team members treat someone like that or rush them at 5.02pm and lose a sale like that. That’s where training comes in and a strong management team.nnMy sister went up and asked the lady are you the manager here? To which she said “yes”. My sister said “the service I received today was the worst experience I’ve had in a shop ever and it was all because of your attitude.” I also said “your service was pathetic and I cannot deal with your attitude.” A little harsh I’ll admit, but also how she treated my sister Was beyond a joke. Please educate your teams on care, empathy and service as this is why your company is failing.
