Cornucopia of mould. I live near this IGA and so unfortunately have had to go there on many occasions. There is a disturbing lack of care regarding the rotten, mouldy, rancid produce. Normally it is necessary to look carefully at the produce, before buying it, to make sure it is free of white fuzz. Often it is indeed partly decomposed and moulding. Once I put some mouldy vegetable that I found there aside for the staff to find; I returned the next day to find it had been returned to the shelf to be sold. Another time, after a long weekend, I strolled through the bread section and found ALL of the bread had turned blue. The standards are appalling. I am posting this to let the proprietors know they need to improve their health standards. I occasionally hear patrons complain to the staff about the rotten food, and yet the staff laugh the problem off. They must be aware of the rotten state, and wilfully blind to it. It is only a matter of time before the store gets shut down by ACT authorities.
