Suncoast Bathroom Renovations

We had a disappointing experience with Suncoast recently after our bathroom was finished 2 1/2 months overdue from the 60 day time frame stated in the contract. We didn’t complain at all to them. This was not during the Covid lockdown. We were fair, reasonable, very obliging, patient and friendly people to deal with.nnWe unfortunately didn’t find management professional enough in business as they lacked care, communication and customer relation skills in addressing our concerns. Suncoast often seemed too busy in between other jobs to listen or help and they simply weren’t interested in us as customers. For what we were paying, we weren’t made a priority. A lot of what we were informed initially was going to happen didn't occur, except for many excuses and inconveniences we grew tired of. There was a lack of courtesy at times in communication with advising and keeping us up to date mainly when contractors would be returning and in regards to the job's progress.nnThey weren’t always reliable or organised enough in many aspects of their work which led to other problems and longer delays in them finishing the renovation which wasn’t our fault. There was some quality of work issues and delays with some of the outsourcing of some sub-contractors which lacked some attention to detail in the job.nnWe had to request building and waterproofing certificates in the contract to be forthcoming.nnDuring renovations they were told not to rush, however we had genuine concerns as we were left with many walls damaged with multiple holes due to carelessness and disregard with their actions. They did patch the damage, but it still was not in the original condition it once was. It left us with having to repaint the walls ourselves which isn’t acceptable. We experienced little care or respect taken at times with our house. Some of the younger trade’s people couldn’t understand our issues with keeping any damage to a minimum and we suspect this is because they do not own a home themselves. We also had to buy drop sheets as the trades people wouldn’t always lay down their sheets when we politely and continually expressed our valid concerns. This resulted in our carpets having to be cleaned at the end of the job.nnWe can say, Suncoast’s trade’s people were friendly and polite when working on our bathroom including a very professional tiler.nnIn the end we also had to paint our bathroom doors to help them out and speed up the completion process of the job as they could not get a painter that wanted to paint the doors in a timely manner. What was upsetting and unfair for us was the company demanded their final payment whilst we were still painting the doors and the remaining jobs were yet to be fully completed. This is despite the fact that we were always prompt in our progress payments along the way.nnIn the beginning we were looking forward to giving this company praise and appreciation and also offering more work. This changed along the way to the point where we are very hesitant to recommend this company to other people for concern that others will be left disappointed like us with all the hassles that we experienced.

I used Suncoast Bathroom renovations as they were highly recommended by a work colleague. I did not even get another quote from another company! I needed my small unit in Nelson Bay basically rebuilt with new kitchen, bathroom, walls, new electrical and plumbing. The process was very easy and the standard of work was excellent. They were on time with the rebuild. They have the best tiler, I was very fussy! I wanted all the grout lines to run together from wall to floor, this was done superbly. I am also very happy with my Vibe kitchen. I have no hesitation in recommending Suncoast Bathroom Renovations.

Suncoast Bathrooms completed my bathroom renovation and replaced water damaged flooring at Fletcher. This company delivers expert work of the highest standard. Courteous, professional, accessible and helpful; they have been a pleasure to do business with. There are so many more reasons why I would highly recommend Suncoast. I absolutely love my new bathroom!

Excellent service and quality people to deal with would recommend to anybody considering renovations

I must say they had lovely tradesmen that did a good job and I was happy with the work although expensive. My bathroom was being done for the second time due to an incompetent tradesman. The owner of this company left a bad taste in my mouth with a nasty email at the end of the job, blaming me for not checking out the other tradesman. He had to have the last say in what was a difficult time for me. Any good work they did got overridden by that email. I would not recommend this company.
