Why am I not surprised to see such a low rating for our biggest financial institution? My encounter there today was extraordinary. My patent lawful authority to operate a trust account was disrespected, the bank was not entitled to make any enquiry into my authority to cause a transaction to be effected from that account, trust money held by me in my capacity as the QCAT appointed administrator of my deceased father. None of this was relevant to my lawful request to withdraw the funds. The wrongful enquiry into my lawful authority caused so much distress not only to me but to my 85 year old mother, dad's apparent heir and I was doing my duty; discharging my legal responsibility and the staff at this branch sought to put themselves in charge of something over which they had no discretion whatsoever. It's typical nanny state corporate behaviour so often encountered in Queensland that I will not tolerate, to which I will object vehemently and will pursue with all my vigour to express my dissatisfaction as a consumer of financial services and as a citizen exercising my sacred rights under the law.
Don't bother trying to ring this branch because they never answer. Tried 20 times one morning. Another time left my number and didn't get a call back. Pathetic service. What we've come to expect from the big 4.
